Repair of Shoe Fabric

New pair of trail running shoes. Heavy layer of leaves on the trail. Snagged the top of the shoe on a the end of a tough, sharp tree root. Put me flat on the ground.

Quarter-sized hole in the thin shoe fabric on the top of the foot. How to repair? Appearance not important.
