Keep in mind: BackcountryRunner is for TRAIL runners and TRAIL races. This means single track trails, backcountry dirt roads, nature. It means you like running in natural surroundings (you tend to run on city streets, paved roads or in man-made environments only when you have to!). If this is you, you'll fit right in! All submitted races must meet our "trail running race" guideline, which is: a race entirely on foot where most if not all of the route takes place on single-track dirt trails or dirt roads, without contrived/manmade obstacles, and typically in a backcountry or natural area. Race types NOT accepted include: Spartan or obstacle races, mud races, triathlons/ironmans, or races where any portion includes non-running aspects like mountain biking, paddling, swimming, etc.
Any fields marked as "visible" will show up on your profile page. Fields marked as "private" are guaranteed to stay that way -- they will not show up on your profile page.
Your mailing address and full name is not required. However, you must fill it out in order to participate in certain reward programs we offer. Also, because email can sometimes be unreliable, it is recommended as a backup means of communication. Your information will never be revealed to other businesses or organizations - it is only for communication with backcountryrunner.com.
After logging in, you can change any of this information, including privacy settings. If desired, you can also expand and customize your profile by adding other information about yourself that may be of interest to other trail runners.
