Double Dipsea (Walt Stack DSE Double Dipsea)

The Double Dipsea is an out-and-back local favorite that follows the famous Dipsea Race--twice. It starts at Stinson Beack, climbs up to 1400 ft within the first 2.5 miles and continues the steep climbs and descents to Mill Valley, where runners return along the same course. The course is 13.7 miles long with an elevation gain of over 4500 feet and less than 1/2 a mile of flat running. A beautiful course however-- sweeping ocean vistas alternate with towering redwood forests.
