This was my first race beyond a marathon. There was 24 hours of non-stop rain prior to the race, so the course was MUDDY! I mean shoe sucking muddy. Nevertheless, I had a blast and plan to do it again. Aid stations were well stocked, and well manned. At the last aid station (unmanned), with only 3 miles to go, I found brownies and pop in addition to the traditional water and sports drink, which brought me home on jet fuel. One aid station even featured "ultra fries" (fresh made french fries, with the stadium barker and everything. Great bling to boot.
