Long time listener, first time caller. Fair warning, the chafing issues I'm having are of the below-the-waist kind, and I'm 1) not trying to be gross or 2) trolling. So please stop here if this bothers you. Have solved almost all chafing issues by running almost naked, to the extent the law allows. Those old parachute-silk style boxers are a hoot!
Without getting too graphic, one thing all the loose-fitting shorts or super tight banana hammock jockstrap underwear apparently cannot prevent is chafing in between the inner thigh crease and the perineum. Lots of powder gets gross. Should I go the opposite direction and use vaseline? I assumed that the amount of sweat would negate the vaseline after a while.
Again, sorry to get gross. All my running partners are girls and I cannot bring myself to ask them.
