Hello,

I am a long-time runner interested in getting into ultra-races. I came across the below article detailing research regarding ultra-running and Myocardial Fibrosis (scarring of the heart). Does anyone have any additional links, cardiologist referrals that specialize in ultra-runners (I am willing to travel to visit), or helpful information on this subject? I am having trouble finding much information online.

I've been to several marathons before, each time I try to prepare longer and more. These are great goals, they are achievable, and I can see the results. Thanks for this article, it's time to move on.
