beautiful start to the day, sunny, blue skies, calm.. Ended a little cool and blustery, 51 degrees. First 7 miles on asphalt. Two killer hills in first 4.25. Oxygen debt at 10,000 feet really makes it's effect felt on these hills. last 6 on trail around turquoise lake . Lots of roots, rocks, uneven terrain and a few stream crossings. Last two miles the trail smoothed out and allowed for a steadier pace and nice finish. Definitely good training for high altitude, definitly bring your own water. There were three aid stations during the race. Small crowd, around 100.
