The New Castle Rides and Reggae Festival is a celebration of trail running, mountain biking, music, and community. Rides and Reggae includes a weekend full of fun including live music from local and national reggae influenced bands, MTB races, a trail running race, and a duathlon for all ability levels on the Colorow and Highlands Trail Networks. Race entry includes beer, custom R&R socks, and festival entry. Cash and gear prizes will be awarded for each race.

Details
Registration for the Dirty Dozen Trail Running Race includes a fun and challenging 10K trail running race, one entry into the Rides and Reggae Festival on Saturday night, and a free beer, so no need to purchase a festival ticket unless you plan to bring a friend with you. Advance registration also includes a pair of custom race socks.
Racers can also register for the Dirty Dozen MTB race and compete the combo/duathlon event which consists of racing Friday night’s 10k trail race followed by Saturday morning’s 20-mile MTB. Times from both races will be combined for the final results.

A one-mile MTB race (2 laps) and half mile trail race (1 lap) will be held for kids \\ on Saturday morning. The races will use the same start and finish line as the Dirty Dozen Races and will be on the skills loop at Vix Park. A short strider bike race will also be held. Entry is free and kids can do either race or both races. These races will be untimed and each finisher will receive a prize!
