I'am 48 year old age grouper who runs 30-40 mi /week. I've started to have some creaking knees. I am considering the switch to ALTRA's. Some questions for you ALTRA wearers:

1. How long did it take to transition? Any break in suggestions?

2. Do you wear them as your only shoe or do you rotate others?

My mobility exercises, etc. don't seem to be doing it anymore. I currently run most of my miles in Hoka ATR 4 and Nike Wildhorse 3's. Miles into my run when I tire I start to heel strike.

Thanks all!

I am 49. For road I use Saucony ISO and Brooks Adreneline. For trails I had been a Brooks Cascadia for a couple of years. I tried Altra Lone peak and like them, however I do wear a support insert as I did not like feeling the rocks in my mid foot. The 0 drop did not affect me like I thought it would. I have 3 different types now that I rotate. The Cascadia, the lone peaks and the Topos. I like the Altra and Topos due to more room for toe box.
