I'm running (attempting to run is probably more accurate) my first 100 miler this year. My goal is under 30hrs, I'd like to think I could be around the 25hr mark.

My question is to those of you that use a GPS watch in a long race ~ how do you get around the battery dying if you are racing for longer than the battery lasts ?! I'd like to obviously monitor the whole race, keen to hear any feedback advice? Thanks in advance.

PS: I have the Timex Global Trainer which I believe has a battery life of around 15hrs whilst recording.

Managed to get hold of a portable battery pack with a USB port on, so now able to charge on the move. Problem sorted!

Interesting. I have wondered what others do. I have a Garmin 310 xt with a battery life of 20 hours. My husband is doing his first 100 miler this upcoming fall. We both have the same kind of watch, so he might use his for part and then mine. Anyone else have any advice?
