"Sinister 7 Ultra may be the greatest challenge of your life. The 100-mile (161km), 50-mile (80 km), and 50-km courses will take you through the most rugged, remote and beautiful terrain in Alberta’s stunning Rocky Mountains. With over 6,600m of elevation gain across the course, this race will punish those who are not prepared.

The 100-mile is open to soloist and teams of 2 to 7 who have 30 hours to complete the grueling event. The course is split into seven stages ranging from 16.7 km to 36.2 km. Each leg features a geographic and historic highlight of the area. The race’s name is inspired by the treacherous Seven Sisters Mountain that looms over much of the course. The 50-mile consists of four stages (half of leg 4 and legs 5 through 7 of the 100-mile course) ranging from 10.7km to 36.2 km. The 50-km is split into three stages (parts of legs 1 & 2 and all of leg 3 from the full course ) ranging from 16.7km to 19.3 km. In 2025 a half marathon was added which runs the same route as the 50K to TA2.

As of 2023 we have a Kids’ Race that is ~4km in length. This is a great way for kids and families to get involved while they’re waiting to cheer on their friends and families running in the larger distances as the Start and Finish is at the TA2/3 location where the majority of the longer distance runners will be."
